Bike Course Description:
Border Wars Bike Course is flat, fast, and breathtakingly beautiful! We will ride throughout West Alton and St. Charles County on HWY 67 (lanes closed to Traffic), Hwy 94, and many of the areas beautiful and very well paved roads. Athletes will get endless breathtaking views as they wind throughout the river land area. As the bike course nears T2 you will travel your last few miles of the course in a closed lane across the great Lewis and Clark Bridge into Alton providing some final amazing views on the bike…and of course some epic photo ops from our photographers!
Bike Aid: We will have 3 bottle exchanges on the bike course. They will be stationed at approximately mile 13, near mile 29 (second Turn Around), and near mile 41. We will have water at the 1st and 3rd stop. The middle stop will have HEED. The bike course flavor will be Lemon Lime HEED.
Bike Course Cutoff: The Bike course cutoff will be 5 hours and 30 minutes after the last swimmer enters the water.

Riverlands Way (follow road turning Right, wrap under HWY 67) (closed to traffic)
Turn Right onto -HWY 67 S (outside lane closed to traffic)
Turn Right onto-St. Charles St.
Turn Right onto-HWY 94
Turn Right onto-Grafton Ferry Rd
Turn Right onto-Portage Rd
Turn around at Snug Harbor Road
Turn Right onto-Grafton Ferry Road
Turn around on Grafton Ferry Rd (North of Portage Rd. Approx 1.3 miles)
Turn Right onto-Pleasant Union School Road
Turn Left onto-Hwy V
Turn Left onto-Hwy V
Turn Left onto-Hwy 94
Turn Left onto-St. Charles St.
Turn left onto-Hwy 67 S (outside lane closed for Bike Traffic)
Turn Left onto-Riverlands Way (follow under HWY 67) (closed to traffic)
Turn Right onto-HWY 67 N (outside lane closed to traffic)
Turn Right onto-HWY 143 (outside lane closed to traffic)
Turn Right onto-Discovery Parkway (closed to traffic)
Turn Left onto-Boat Launch Rd (closed to traffic)
Keep Straight onto-Henry Street (closed to traffic)

Turn Left into-Riverfront Park (transition and finish set up)
